Our homeless dog epidemic (which is what it is) seems to go largely unnoticed.

That's a sobering article – particularly reading it today, the eve of World Animal Day. I think, in the UK, we often think that this sort of thing tends to happen in other countries more, and not often here.

I'm sure many people have noticed a rise in the number of dogs around, generally, but it's shaming to see such a rise in abandonments.
